The fund offers a one-off payment of up to £500 per family, depending on individual circumstances.
We assess each application based on financial need and the impact of any challenges the child or young person may be facing.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to apply, the fund is open to families of all children.
All information you share will be treated confidentially.
Applications are open once per quarter:
January – March
April – June
July – September
October – December
Families may submit one application per quarter, unless circumstances change significantly within that period.
Each week, one family will be awarded a grant from the Chaotic Fund
From time to time, we may introduce themes for the types of applications that will be awarded each week, for example, equipment or wellbeing.
These themes will be announced in advance on our Facebook page, so please follow us there for updates and announcements.
At Chaotic, we believe that every family’s story deserves to be heard.
To celebrate and raise awareness of the incredible journeys within our community, we may document the stories of families who receive support through the Chaotic Fund.
If your family is selected, you will receive a phone call offering you the grant. This is usually at approximately 4:30pm on a Wednesday, but we will update you on any changes to this via our Facebook group.
Please note that you must answer this call to receive the grant, if we are unable to reach you, the offer may be passed on to another family.
This call will be recorded and may be shared on our social media channels, but any sensitive or personal information will be removed to protect your privacy.
If selected, you may also be invited to share a photo of your family receiving the grant. This helps us celebrate your story and inspire others, though we will always respect your wishes regarding what is shared publicly.
You are the parent or carer of a child, children, or young person aged between 0 and 24 years.
The child or young person is not in the care of the local authority or in foster care.
You have been a UK resident for the past six months.
You are a family on a low income.
You haven’t been awarded a Chaotic Fund grant in the last six months.
